We have compiled a list of the questions that we frequently get asked by guests. If you have any queries that are not answered here please email us on enquiries@alpine-adventure.co.uk and we will do our best to help.
Yes! We can arrange both private and shared transfers. Have a look at our airport transfers section for details and prices.
WHen you arrive at the airport, look our for our driver who will be waiting in the arrivals area with a sign with your name on it. If you have any problems locating him you can call Mark (our transfer coordinator) on +33 6 30 29 05 47 and he will be able to help.
The typical journey time for a private transfer is 1 hour 15 minutes and for a shared transfer 1 hour 35 minutes. This can be affected by traffic and weather conditions. If you want to benefit from as much time in Morzine as possible (particularly if you are visiting for a short break) we recommend booking private transfers. This minimises the waiting time at the airport and avoids other drop-offs / pick-ups on route.
You can read our full transfer terms and conditions for further details on the transfer services that we offer.
We would recommend carrying snow chains in your vehicle if visiting during the winter season. You won't always need them, but it's better to be safe than sorry.
Yes! We work with Doorstep Skis, who will fit your ski equipment in the comfort of your chalet, with up to 40% off shop prices. Read more about equipment hire.
Yes! We can arrange for your ski passes to be waiting for you when you arrive at the chalet. Simply select the pass you’d like in our online booking system. Read more about ski passes.
For anyone other than complete beginners we recommend the full Portes du Soleil ski pass which is fantastic value for money. It gives you access for over 650km of linked pisted and off-piste terrain to suit all ability levels. You can ski new pistes each day if you choose, and head to wherever the weather and snow conditions are best. If you are skiing with a mixed-ability group you can easily explore together; sticking to green/blue/red or black pistes (to suit your preferences) but reconvening at central points to share stories over a drink or snack.
Beginners might prefer to get a pass for a smaller part of the ski area: Morzine/Les Gets or Avoriaz or St Jean d'Aulps.
Read more about the ski area and ski passes here.
Yes! Have a look at our ski lessons section for further details. We can recommend ski schools and tuition options to suit your group. Most ski schools prefer you to contact them directly to finalise your lesson bookings so that they can discuss your specific requirements and propose the best solutions for your individual circumstances. We advise organising lessons well in advance, particularly if you are coming during school holidays as the ski schools all tend to get booked up fast.
We can recommend excellent nannies to look after your children in-house and there is also a wonderful creche in Morzine. These services get booked up early so please enquire well in advance of your stay. You can find further details here.
Morzine offers a huge range of options for non-skiers of all ages. Swimming, ice-skating, snow-shoe walking, paragliding to name a few. There are also regular events in the village for kids and adults throughout the year.
Have a look at the resort guide, nordic guide and kids guide for inspiration.
You can walk, drive, take the free public bus or use our minibus shuttle service. Our central Morzine chalets are all within a 10-15 minute walk of the Pleney and Super Morzine ski lifts. They are also on the free bus route, with journey times of under 5 minutes to Pleney or Super M.
If you choose to drive to the ski lifts, parking is available. Parking is free at Ardent and Nyon only.

We can drop-off at any of the Morzine ski lifts (Pleney, Super Morzine, Ardent, Prodains, Nyon) plus the St Jean d'Aulps ski station. If you are staying at La Vieille Ferme, we recommend starting your day at Ardent: You benefit from super-fast access to the heart of the Portes du Soleil ski area and there are very rarely any queues. It takes roughly 12 minutes to get to Ardent from La Vieille Ferme.
Note that the shuttle service is available free of charge to catered guests at La Vieille Ferme. It can be booked as an add-on service for self-catering guests, and people staying at our central Morzine chalets. See further details
Our Morzine chalets (Chalet Lucioles and Chalet Madosa) are located in the centre of town, within walking distance of all of Morzine's amenities. You should not need to use any public transport to get around.
La Vieille Ferme chalet is located in St Jean d'Aulps, just outside of Morzine. There are some excellent bars and restaurants within a 5 minute walk of the chalet but if you prefer a night out in Morzine we can organise transport. You can either use our minibus shuttle service or we can organise taxis. The cost for an 8-seat taxi between Morzine and St Jean in the evening is typically 25 euros.

Yes. Children can choose whether they prefer to eat from the same menu as the adults or to take a seperate kids menu. We know that all children are different and some (like our son!!) can be quite fussy. The more details you can give us on the foods that your kids like / dislike the better. We want them to enjoy their meal-times as much as the adults.
You can choose - though for large groups it is sometimes easier to have a seperate child and adult meal sitting.
Yes, our catered packages include wine with dinner. We also have a very reasonably priced honesty bar for additional drinks (beer, spirits etc)
