La Vieille Ferme de la Moussiere is a truly unique ski chalet located just outside of Morzine in the Portes du Soleil. The 300-year-old chalet retains many of its original features and its spacious living areas and generously proportioned bedrooms are hard to rival. The chalet is overflowing with character and charm, yet offers comfortable ensuite accommodation with all mod-cons. The chalet can be booked on a self-catering or half-board (catered) basis; or you can opt for our flexible meal-delivery service. We also specialise in short-breaks.
La Vieille Ferme offers a huge, open-plan living area with comfortable sofas and a roaring fire. There is a true home-from-home feel with cosy furnishings and views over the mountains and garden.
We have plenty to keep you entertained: A flat-screen TV (UK channels), extensive DVD and MP3 library, board games and a big games room complete with pool table, dart board, second tv/dvd area and games-consoles. Free wifi is also available.

All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and most have spectacular mountain views. For your comfort we provide luxury duvets, fine egyptian cotton sheets, fluffy towels, hair dryers and quality toiletries.
The chalet kitchen is fully equipped with a range cooker, oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, sink, coffee machine, kettle, toaster and microwave. It is well-stocked with all of the utensils, crockery, pots, pans and glassware that you could possibly need. Plus, being in the Alps, we can provide the all important fondue and pierrade kits.
The chalet is available primarily on a self-catering basis but if you fancy a break from cooking, why not have a look at our meal-delivery service or consider one of our catering packages.
Outside our garden and patio area offer marvelous views over the Morzine mountains and our luxury outdoor hot-tub is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of champagne before dinner. Ample free parking is available at the chalet for those who choose to drive. There is also plenty of room to store all of your kit securely in our ski & boot room, which is equipped with boot-warmers.
The chalet is situated in a stunningly beautiful, peaceful location in the centre of St Jean d'Aulps village, just outside of Morzine in the Portes du Soleil. A range of excellent restaurants, shops, bars and amenities can be reached within a short walk.
The centre of Morzine is a 10 minute drive away and taxis can easily be arranged for any guests fancying a big night out!
The closest ski slopes (Espace Roc d Enfer) are just a couple of minutes drive from the chalet and the ski-lifts serving Morzine, Avoriaz and Les Gets can be reached in 7-15 minutes. If you do not want to self-drive we can organise flexible shuttles to the slopes in our private minibus.
In the summer months, La Vieille Ferme is the perfect base for exploring the Vallee d'Aulps and Morzine region, with numerous hiking, mountain biking, cycling and trail-running routes right on the doorstep. A huge variety of other outdoor activities (horse-riding, white-water sports, rock-climbing, golf, swimming, caving, paragliding and more) can also be enjoyed in the area.
La Vieille Ferme is just outside Morzine in the heart of the Portes du Soleil ski area : the largest linked ski domain in the French Alps with over 650km of incredible ski pistes. Getting here is quick and easy – we are just 70 minutes from Geneva airport and we can even arrange airport transfers for you. *1 Canapés are provided for full-week stays only. They can be booked as an extra for shorter stays.

*4 Beer, spirits, champagne, prosecco, a further selection of wines, fizzy drinks can be purchased from the honesty bar at low-cost.
*5 Short breaks include afternoon-tea and evening meals on all but one day, giving you the chance to try a local restaurant on one night.
Flexi-catering is, as the name suggests, flexible! You can book the chalet (self-catered) and add breakfasts, cakes and evening meals on an ad-hoc basis. These are freshly prepared daily in our central kitchen and delivered to your fridge, ready to be re-heated and eaten. We use recyclable, oven-safe dishes which can be disposed of after your meal so you don't even need to wash-up.

Our quoted holiday prices DO NOT include:
*3Tourist tax (Tax de Séjour) is levied by all French resorts and but must be collected by accommodation providers in the region. From Jan 2020 this tax is charged at 2.50 euros pppn (Morzine) and 0.85 euros pppn (St Jean d'Aulps) and only applies to guests aged 18 years and over. Tourist Tax will be noted clearly on your booking form and added to your final balance invoice.
