Parking at these out-of-town ski lifts can be a great option as they offer rapid access to the heart of the ski area an queues are often non-existant, or much smaller than in the centre of Morzine.

Which ski pass do you recommend
For anyone other than complete beginners we recommend the full Portes du Soleil ski pass which is fantastic value for money. It gives you access for over 650km of linked pisted and off-piste terrain to suit all ability levels. You can ski new pistes each day if you choose, and head to wherever the weather and snow conditions are best. If you are skiing with a mixed-ability group you can easily explore together; sticking to green/blue/red or black pistes (to suit your preferences) but reconvening at central points to share stories over a drink or snack.
Beginners might prefer to get a pass for a smaller part of the ski area: Morzine/Les Gets or Avoriaz or St Jean d'Aulps.
Read more about the ski area and ski passes here.
Can you organise ski and snowboarding lessons
Yes! Have a look at our ski lessons section for further details. We can recommend ski schools and tuition options to suit your group. Most ski schools prefer you to contact them directly to finalise your lesson bookings so that they can discuss your specific requirements and propose the best solutions for your individual circumstances. We advise organising lessons well in advance, particularly if you are coming during school holidays as the ski schools all tend to get booked up fast.
Please be careful when booking lessons that you book a ski pass for the correct part of the ski area - if you are not planning to get a full Portes du Soleil skipass, always check with your instructor which pass you will need. Most ski schools are either based at Pleney (Morzine-Les Gets ski pass needed), Prodains (Avoriaz ski pass needed), Ardent (Avoriaz ski pass needed) or Saint Jean d Aulps (Roc d'Enfer ski pass needed).

We can recommend excellent nannies to look after your children in-house and there is also a wonderful creche in Morzine. These services get booked up early so please enquire well in advance of your stay. You can find further details here.
