Morzine Avoriaz
the perfect base for your
skiing or snowboarding holiday

Morzine
Morzine is a bustling ski village offering dozens of bars and restaurants, numerous shops and a couple of nightclubs. Originally a farming and slate mining community, Morzine has retained the genuine character and charm of a small French village but had been a popular skiing destination since the first Pleney cable car was installed in 1934. You can find ice-skating, bowling, cinema, swimming, an indoor sports centre and many more amenities to keep you busy. Morzine has won the “Family Plus” award – recognising the ski village as the ideal holiday location for families.

Saint Jean d'Aulps
Saint Jean d’Aulps is a traditional savoyarde village just outside Morzine. It offers a range of restaurants, bars and shops so everything you need is on your doorstep. In the winter St Jean d’Aulps is the perfect base for a family ski trip, with its own selection of ski lifts, downhill ski pistes and cross-country ski runs. The skiing is centered around the wonderful “Roc d’Enfer” and offers views over beautiful Lake Geneva and the Mont-Blanc mountain range.
The full Portes du Soleil ski domain is easily accessible from the village – our minibus service can have you at the heart of the ski area in under 10 minutes with no walking required.

Avoriaz
Perched dramatically on the cliff-tops above Morzine, the village of Avoriaz is a spectacular sight. Right in the heart of the Portes du Soleil ski domain, Avoriaz offers easy access to the highest pistes and most challenging off-piste terrain. The village is car-free (you can get around on foot or using horse drawn carriage) and is completely covered in snow throughout the winter season. Avoriaz recently won the title of “Best Family Resort” in the 2012 World Snow Awards.
The village has a vibrant apres-ski scene and numerous bars, cafes and restaurants. There is also plenty to keep you occupied if you fancy a break from skiing – including the new Aquariaz swimming pool complex (an aquatic paradise complete with water slides, rapids, climbing walls above the water and a water “play house”)
